Best way to prevent editing of a PDF?

Everyone has a computer or a laptop these days. Computers have become a part of our life, whether doing an online transaction, purchasing something on amazon or simply doing your Resumé. Some use Linux, Windows, BSD or even Macintosh. In this article, i would like to show you how to prevent others from editing or even printing a PDF file on the mac. In this article we would be using preview to protect the PDF file.

1. Open the PDF file that you want to protect.

2. Go to File -> print.

3. Click on the v symbol beside PDF at the bottom left corner of the page.

4. Select save as PDF.

5. Then Select Security Options and you'll get the following screen:

6. Fill out the options which best suits your purpose and click OK and follow the instructions that follow.

I know there would be other ways of doing the same thing. And this also may not be the best way to do it as well but it just works and therefore others who do not know might also find it useful.
